In cooperation with our manufacturing partners, The Magellan Group provides a cost effective and secure approach to supply and delivery of wood and millwork accessory products. The majority of our partners are vertically integrated businesses. Together, we insure consistency and adopt quality as a competitive strategy, all while providing products to our customers in a very controlled timeline.
The Magellan Group recognizes that forest certification is important and necessary for long-term success in the wood industry. We have been diligent in working to meet this standard. A large percentage of our production facilities have received FSC® certification. Combined with being vertically integrated, FSC® certification removes any boundaries from having to rely on outside sources for certified logs. It is our ongoing strategy and goal to have all Magellan facilities FSC® certified.
The Magellan supply chain commitment is more than just words. To insure stable and long-term production, our manufacturing partners are spread in five countries on the South American, African and Asian Continents. The combined total land owned by our manufacturing partners equals nearly 1,000,000 acres of FSC® certified plantation. We believe in the future of a plantation-based resource and it is an integral part to our strategic growth.
